Charlie Mactaggart MRICS

As a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor with over three decades of experience dealing with the highs and lows of the London property market, Charlie offers a commitment to professionalism and a value added surveying service that is second to none. Charlie’s main areas of instruction are in his “home patch” of Westminster, Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Pimlico and Fulham.

Charlie’s expert advice and knowledge of the London prime residential market is invaluable when it comes to making the right property decisions. He has been involved in the London property sector since 1987 when he started his working life at a private bespoke Belgravia property firm. Having gained a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management, he has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2000.

Additionally, Charlie is a qualified member of the Property Care Association (PCA), a certified surveyor of timber and dampness in buildings (CSTDB), a qualified structural waterproofing technician (PCAQT), and drone qualified.

Harry Speir AssocRICS

Harry is an established and popular Surveyor in the London market. He has a wealth of experience in the London Residential market. Harry qualified with the RICS in 2004 whilst working for Countrywide Surveyors. Since this time, Harry has worked exclusively within the sector. This has allowed him to build strong long term relationships within the business.

In 2015 Harry formed MSW Surveyors with his former colleague Charlie Mactaggart and Hugh Watson. This has gone on to become an established, well respected Residential Surveying business, across the London property market.

Harry has a depth of technical surveying knowledge and a great understanding of Residential property within London. He has the unique ability to communicate with Clients in a pragmatic, positive and thoughtful way.

Hugh Watson MRICS

Hugh Watson is an experienced Chartered Surveyor based in central London and co-founded MSW with Charlie and Harry in 2015. With over 25 years of experience in the property industry, he has established a reputation as one of the leading experts in his field.

Hugh has a forensic knowledge of residential property in central London including Belgravia, Chelsea, Kensington, Notting Hill, Hampstead and south of the river. In addition to level 3 Survey Reports on period properties, Hugh also specialises in Snagging reports of new and high-end Apartments and Houses. 

He has worked on a wide range of projects in the residential sector ranging from listed buildings to modern developments. He is qualified to use a drone to survey properties with challenging access. Prior to 2013, Hugh worked in the Commercial development industry and dealt with large scale mixed-use masterplans. He has a deep understanding of the complexities involved in these types of projects.

In addition to his technical expertise, he is renowned for his ability to communicate complex issues with clarity and speed. Hugh has built up an extensive network within the property industry and is happy to re-direct you where he is unable to help.
